Campaign and Events Manager


Salary: Circa £27,000 p.a. (Depending on experience)

Place of work: Spectrum 6, Spectrum Business Park, Seaham, County Durham, SR7 7TT (currently working remotely until further notice, flexible working request options once we return to office working)

Working Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced and ambitious Campaign and Events Manager.

You will plan and deliver a range of memorable projects and events that will inspire businesses across the UK. You will liaise with venues, speakers, tech and AV suppliers and hosts to ensure projects are delivered to the highest quality, and you will have significant financial and budgetary responsibility.

In addition, you will help deliver targeted marketing activity, while working closely with the wider team to develop projects that help the businesses we work with do more and go further.

.NET DEVELOPER

A fantastic opportunity has been discovered for a .Net Developer to join UMi. You will work alongside our development, infrastructure and data science teams and collaborate on building, maintaining and improving the various layers of web services and applications.

This is not just another .Net Developer role. We have set out a plan to innovate and bolster our digital offering, with new infrastructure, website development, mobile and tablet applications, new platforms already under development and more projects in the pipeline. There is opportunity to learn and develop your skills, collaborate with talented digital gurus and help deliver adventurous and bespoke projects.

We are looking for experiences applicants. Someone who has a degree in a relevant subject or the equivalent experience is essential. Applicants are expected to have a keen eye for detail, be an experienced C# and .Net Developer, have experience developing, maintaining and using class libraries and APIs to integrate different system and have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

UX Designer

Applicants are expected to have significant UX design experience, preferably in designing complex solutions for complete digital environments. Digital Adviser

Salary: Circa £28,000 p.a. (Depending on experience) + a great range of employee benefits
Place of work: Remote working (with occasional travel to Leeds/Yorkshire)
Working Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday

We have an opportunity for a tech-savvy individual to join the team here at UMi as a Digital Adviser, initially working on the Digital Knowledge Exchange programme advising small businesses on how digital technology can help to improve and grow their organisation.

The main responsibilities of the role will include:

• Undertaking digital health checks for small businesses, reviewing their current digital channels and online presence (website, social media, digital marketing, data protection, etc) and providing a report of personalised recommendations and suggestions for their next steps with digital.
• Providing one-to-one support to businesses, particularly around digital marketing
• Working with a pool of Digital Champions who will support the programme through mentoring
• Supporting the delivery of the Digital Enterprise Top 100 campaign, engaging with digitally innovative or transformational businesses and potential sponsors of the campaign to highlight great stories of digital adoption in the region.

Business Support Adviser Tier 1

Salary: £18,278 per annum + a great range of employee benefits

Place of work: Spectrum 6, Spectrum Business Park, Seaham, County Durham, SR7 7TT (remote working options available)

Working Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday

We are on the search for an experienced, customer service driven individual to join our team as a Business Support Adviser (Tier 1). You will provide expert business support advice and information to small businesses via the telephone and web-chat to help customers move forward their businesses.

You will be expected to have an eye for detail and be self motivated especially around self-development. This role involves both working as a team and individually which requires you to have a good set of organisational skills.

An understanding of government support and provision is desired, although you will be provided with full training resulting in you gaining a Level 5 SFEDI qualification in business support.

A high level of analytical ability to assess customer needs is required along with excellent ICT literacy as you will be working on systems including Microsoft Office and digital media channels; web-chat, email, Twitter etc.

Business Administration Apprentice

Salary: £12,000 per annum + a great range of employee benefits
Working Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday-Friday. Typical work pattern - 9 am - 5 pm Monday to Thursday and 9 am - 4.30 pm Friday per week with a 30 minute unpaid lunch break

This apprenticeship is a fixed term opportunity for approximately 15-18 months, however, we will look to make the successful candidate permanent at the end of their apprenticeship if successful.

We have a fantastic opportunity for an apprentice to join our team to support the administrative functions within the business and to work and study towards gaining a Level 3 Standard in Business Administration.

You will also gain a wide range of on the job skills, knowledge and experience and exposure to working with a range of teams across our business.

  • Completing quality assurance checks such as supplier checks
  • Maintaining reports to track and compliance and finance documentation such as renewals
  • Updating systems such as Xero and Microsoft Dynamics
  • Maintain accurate records in accordance with document retention requirements and in line with current legislation
  • Support with diary management
