Different from many other business accelerators, the Durham Ambitious Business Start-Ups (DABS) programme offers two unique support packages. One for those who have a great idea and have not yet started their business, and another for those new entrepreneurs at the start of their exciting journey. You’ll benefit from tailored support to maximise the success of your business.

As part of the programme the team has a number of free workshops coming up in September/October, they include:

  • Innovation and Opportunity - This interactive workshop will use a range of technology, tools and principles to help you to effectively identify, evaluate and validate new business opportunities. You’ll be supported to build an architecture that allows innovation to thrive throughout your business, while managing the risks of disruption. You will learn a range of design thinking and lean validation methods to help you to maximise potential opportunities and income streams. This workshop has been specifically developed to support ambitious new businesses under 12 months of trading to scale and grow.
  • DABS Labs - If you are at an early stage of developing a new business but you haven’t quite firmed up your business idea, then DABS LABS is for you. This innovative workshop will help you to shape and build confidence in your idea and potentially generate new income streams. Using some great tools and techniques, you’ll turn your ideas into real commercial opportunities using design thinking, innovation and the potential of market disruption.
  • Digital Business Model Innovation - This interactive workshop will help you to identify ways to improve your profitability and productivity through the use of digital tools. The team will work with you to improve your ability to implement new business models, conducting an audit of your current business model and generating ideas for innovation through digitalisation.

These are just a few of the workshops and events available through the DABS Programme, to find out more visit the Durham Ambitious Business Start-Ups website or call 0191 516 6102.
