Venturefest North East

It is now less than a week to go until VentureFest North East 2019 takes place at St. James’ Park. On Thursday 28 November, this free, full-day event which is now in its sixth year will see over 800 businesses come together to innovate, collaborate and connect with one another.

This year’s programme includes the chance to hear from several high-profile keynote speakers including Felicity Burch, Director of Innovation and Digital for the Confederation of British Industry (CBI), Dean Benson, Founder and CEO of Visualsoft and Ron Ashtiani, Creative Director, business leader and recently exited Founder of Atomhawk.

A series of workshops focusing on a wide range of different business-related matters will also take place over the course of the day.

Facilitated by the University of Sunderland, Seven Stories, Academic Health Science Network (AHSN) and Innovation UK amongst others, the content covers a broad spectrum from data analytics to the psychology of innovation.

The day will draw to a close with the North East Innovation Awards where the coveted titles of Innovation Champion, Innovation of the Year and Idea of the Year will be announced. Delivered in partnership with RTC North, it promises to be a great end to a busy day.

Tickets are available on the Innovation SuperNetwork website.

VentureFest North East and the North East Innovation Awards are part of the wider Innovation SuperNetwork programme, developed with around 60 partner organisations to support innovation in the North East. The SuperNetwork is supported by the North East LEP, Northumbrian Water Group, ENGIE, North East BIC and Innovate UK, with part-funding from the European Regional Development Fund.
