Durham business support workshops launched
Durham Ambitious Business Start-ups (DABS) is an innovative new approach to supporting startup businesses in County Durham. The team has launched the first of its workshops for Durham businesses.
Set up by Business Durham, the economic development arm of Durham County Council, DABS will test pioneering new approaches for encouraging and supporting ambitious business startups across the county.
Business support experts TEDCO has been contracted to deliver the premium-quality prestart and post-start programmes.
Working in conjunction with Business Durham, TEDCO’s uniquely designed programme uses a combination of peer-learning, one-to-one coaching and intensive interactive workshops.
The first workshops to take place are:
Wednesday 8 July – DABS LABS
If you are at an early stage of developing a new business but you haven’t quite firmed up your business idea, DABS LABS is for you. During this innovative workshop, we will work with you to build your confidence and help you shape your idea. Using tools and techniques like design thinking, innovation and the potential of market disruption, we can help you turn your ideas into real commercial opportunities.
Thursday 23 July – DABS Pioneers
If you are close to launching a new business and have a business idea in mind, then DABS Pioneers is for you. We can work with you to sense-check your idea, explore the market potential and customer experience to really refine your ambitious business model.
