West Yorkshire-based Easy Bathrooms has announced plans for a major recruitment drive and is set to increase its workforce by 60-70% in 2021; creating 250-300 new jobs.

The recruitment will support its 2021 expansion plans, following a successful 2020. In the last 12 months, the firm opened 23 new showrooms – meaning it now has a footprint of 65 stores nationally – and turned over £45m; a 36% increase on 2019’s £33m revenue.

It also doubled staff levels to 420 employees. Now, the latest round of recruitment will support the firm’s 2021 growth plans, in which it intends to further, significantly increase its national footprint. The brand expects that by the end of 2021, it will have 90-95 showrooms, and has already signed leases on 17 new stores – signalling a £2m investment.

Earlier this month, the firm also moved its Wakefield store to a new superstore. Having previously rented a space within a tile shop, the move to its own, 13,000 sq. ft. store at Beck Retail Park, allows the firm to display its own range of tiles within a dedicated studio.

Craig Waddington, the founder of Easy Bathrooms, said: “2020 has been a pivotal year at Easy Bathrooms, having opened 23 showrooms during a global pandemic, whilst doubling our workforce. We’re gearing up for a strong 2021 – with some exciting plans in the pipeline – so having the right team in place is incredibly important to us.”

Easy Bathrooms is set to hire across all areas of the business, from the sales staff to warehouse and logistics roles.

The firm was also named 64th on the Sunday Times Virgin Atlantic Fast Track 100 league table for 2020 – an independent list of UK private companies with the fastest-growing sales over three years.
