Metamorphosis, the North Tyneside Business Forum's Showbiz 2020 keynote event will be held on Thursday 26 March. Businesses will learn about growth from leading entrepreneurs, funders and renowned experts, including Dragons' Den star, Oatein.

The Metamorphosis event will take place at the Village Hotel, Silverlink from 8.30am until noon. Businesses of all sizes are invited to attend for the opportunity to hear from and network with established home-grown North Tyneside businesses, as well as local startups.

The event will feature a keynote speech from Dragons' Den star Oatein, which secured a £50,000 investment from entrepreneur Peter Jones to grow its UK operation. The company makes health snacks including protein bars, brownies and flapjacks. Oatein's founder, Andy Dixon, will recall his experience of the TV show as well as the Whitley Bay firm’s route to growth, which included receiving invaluable assistance from Scale Up North East.

The event will be hosted by founder of Newcastle Start Up Week, Paul Lancaster and will also feature interviews with Forum management group members, Wubbleyou and Andrew Esson, together with Quorum Business Park-based firm Connect Health.

Case studies from small businesses Love Electrics and Mint Communications will also give an insight into how businesses of any size can get the right help and support. There will be networking opportunities with providers for all stages of growth including The Business Factory, Scale Up North East, the North East Fund and Invest North Tyneside.

Karen Goldfinch, Vice Chair of the North Tyneside Business Forum, said: “There are fantastic opportunities for businesses to grow if they have the right advice and financial support. We’ve put everything in one room to make it easier for businesses to consider and act on the support available. I’d urge any business looking to expand to attend this event.”

The North Tyneside Business Forum's Metamorphosis event is free to North Tyneside-based businesses and £10 for others.
