Centrick NHS

Residential property expert, Centrick, is today making a pioneering pledge to the country’s frontline medical workers, by promising to reduce its sales fees for any NHS staff member by 50% indefinitely. This reduction in charges will reduce the sales fee for anyone with a valid badge from the Trust, and is intended to give back to the NHS heroes, during the pandemic and beyond. A

As a sign of respect for their tremendous work in the wake of Covid-19, Centrick wants to ensure it is doing its part to show its gratitude to the frontline healthcare heroes, whose incredible work has helped to selflessly support the rest of the country during the ongoing pandemic.

Having helped a number of NHS workers to secure tenancies during the lockdown, through its Virtual Viewings and contactless key pick-up service, the residential property specialist wants to ensure that it puts in place policies that continue this support, even as we transition through the ‘new normal’.

Andy Butts, Sales and Lettings Director at Centrick, commented on the company’s new policy, saying:

“Nothing we do can ever show how much we are indebted to the NHS for its unwavering hard work and bravery during the current pandemic, but hopefully this gesture will go some way towards showing our gratitude and desire to give back to those who have tirelessly supported the rest of the country. The Covid-19 lockdown has taught us many things, but one of the most important is the value of our NHS: now Centrick is determined that we never forget that, no matter what the future landscape looks like.

“We are very proud to be able to make this commitment to support NHS workers, from now until forever: as a family-owned business, our ethos and core values are completely shaped by the importance of helping when you can. During this difficult time, and the ongoing situation with Covid-19, we hope that this new policy offers some small relief to those working within our amazing NHS.”

During Covid-19, Centrick has committed itself to ensure that it can continue to be both safety-conscious and flexible with its approach in keeping the market moving for landlords, tenants, buyers and sellers by successfully adapting their services to align with the current lockdown and social distancing measures within the UK.

Virtual viewings of properties, which spans a portfolio including those available to buy and rent, have proved pivotal in unlocking the key to success within the current housing market, with the estate agency securing 42 new tenancies within the first three weeks following its launch.

These comprehensive video tours are hosted on Centrick’s website and major property portals; however, prospective tenants and buyers also have the option to book a bespoke live video viewing, which is hosted by one of Centrick’s expert team members. Viewers are able to receive real-time virtual walkthroughs through the property, using WhatsApp or FaceTime, whilst being able to have any queries or questions answered immediately.

The estate agency has ensured it’s following all government guidelines and protocol on social distancing with a completely contactless reservation and move in process to protect both its tenants and staff.

Majid Sayani is an NHS Pharmacist and has recently moved into a property in Birmingham’s city centre, thanks to Centrick. Majid said:

"The team at Centrick were incredibly helpful and efficient. The virtual viewings were a great idea and the lettings process was just as smooth as outside of the current crisis. Whilst everyone is working remotely and futures are uncertain, it's great to have the ability to ensure my next home is secure."

Andy Butts, adds:

“Of course, Covid-19 has presented many challenges during these uncertain times, none greater than those weathered by the NHS. Whilst we want to continue to remain agile and able to safeguard both our staff and tenants, we are also very glad to be able to do our bit to both thank and help NHS workers both now and in the future.”

Centrick, which was founded in 2005, employs over 130 staff and manages over 10,000 properties worth over £1.5 billion. To find out more about Centrick, visit centrick.co.uk.
