Water retailer wins first digital transformation award
Business water retailer, Everflow Water, has won the award for Digital Transformation at the inaugural Tees Tech Awards.
Everflow Water, based at Wynyard Business Park, is the fastest organically growing retailer in the market, after launching in 2015 it now has a current annualized revenue exceeding £60m.
It has achieved this success through the application of technology to improve all processes from providing quotes to switching customers and managing customer accounts.
The retailer was integral in the research and development of Eclipse, a comprehensive sales, billing and customer management software platform developed by its sister company, Everflow Tech.
Working together since 2015, the Everflow Water team identified the challenges faced by water retailers in the newly deregulated English water market and helped develop solutions which save time, money and allow for human error.
As a result, Everflow Water has won the award for Digital Transformation in Tees Business’s first ever Tees Tech Awards, while Everflow Tech has expanded to Middlesbrough’s Boho 5 and made the software available to the rest of the water retail market.
Chief Executive Officer, Josh Gill, said: “I’m really pleased Everflow Water has been recognised externally for its focus on technology and how it’s been used to improve the customer experience. The whole team have been very forward-thinking in developing ideas for improvement through technology, and we wouldn’t have been as successful without this teamwork. To have an award to show it’s not just senior leadership who recognise this success is amazing!”
