Wensleydale maker opens online deli
The Wensleydale Creamery, in Hawes, North Yorkshire, has launched an online deli to help consumers get their favourite cheeses, local produce and gifts delivered direct to their door.
The Creamery is in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. It uses traditional methods to handcraft cheese to time honoured recipes, using milk from local farms, as well as being innovative with the development of new cheese recipes.
Along with a range of Yorkshire Wensleydale cheese, online shoppers can order from the new Yorkshire Creamery range of handcrafted cheese.
The Online Deli also features a large selection of local produce from crackers, chutneys and oils to biscuits, sweets, chocolate and fruitcake.
The Creamery is also launching a home and giftware range online for the first time, all sourced from local Yorkshire businesses.
Trish Cannon, Visitor Centre Director, Wensleydale Creamery, said:
“Whilst supermarkets are facing increasing demand and pressure, we don’t want to see people go without the everyday essentials.
“We hope our online deli will ensure everyone is able to easily access our award winning cheeses, as well as supporting other local Yorkshire businesses whose delicious food products and locally made gifts are available through our mail order.”
The business supplies a broad range of customers including major UK retailers, wholesalers, independent retailers, delis and farm shops, as well as the manufacturing and food service sector. It also exports its portfolio of products around the world.
