Middlesbrough-based My Marketing Button has expanded its service offering by launching their new App after receiving funding and support from Tees Valley Business Compass (TVBC) and DigitalCity

Red Button Marketing is an ideas-based marketing advisory business that is dedicated to helping business owners stay in love with their business. Keen to formalise this methodology into a technology the firm wanted to create an App to teach businesses about how effective marketing could be and also allow them to track their efforts all in one place.

By accessing the services of TVBC and Digital City, Red Button Marketing managing director Margaret Bradshaw was able to secure grant funding and support to establish a new limited company My Marketing Button as the best way to take her idea of a tech marketing platform into a real product she could take to market.

From the initial conception of the business on a piece of wallpaper, Margert received invaluable support, firstly from Innovate Tees Valley and Digital City, then from The Tees Valley Business Compass.

Suhail Aslam, project manager at Innovation Tees Valley, spoke about his involvement in Margaret’s journey: “We felt she was an ideal candidate for support through the programme.

“As a result of Margaret accessing support from the consultants through Digital City and Innovate Tees Valley, she was able to take away a comprehensive report which then allowed her to apply for funding through the Tees Valley Business Compass.’

Shak Asghar, Growth Services Manager for Tees Valley Business Compass, commented: “It feels really great to see the journey that Margaret’s been on, how well she’s doing and where she’s taken her idea.”

When describing how the funding helped Margaret get her product to market, she said: “It’s been a significant impact because it’s really enabled the project to get underway.”

“Those engagements with the professionals has been just that support that I need, so I don’t feel totally alone.”

“I would recommend that any other Tees Valley businesses looking to grow get in touch with Tees Valley Business Compass and DigitalCity.”
