WHAT WAS THE SERViCE? 

VentureFest North East 2025 was the return of the region's premier innovation conference. The event brought together over 700 entrepreneurs, SMEs, investors, and industry leaders for a day dedicated to fostering innovation, collaboration, and growth. Attendees engaged in keynote speeches, interactive workshops, live pitching sessions, and the North East Innovation Awards, all designed to inspire and equip businesses to innovate and scale. 

WHAT DiD UMi DO? 

Leveraging extensive industry knowledge, proven methodologies, and robust network, UMi delivered the event and created a comprehensive programme addressing key challenges faced by SMEs and start-ups, such as accessing funding, markets, and skills for growth. Following the event, UMi also created a digital publication which featured highlights of the day and more resources for development. You can view the publication, here. 

WHAT WAS THE RESULT? 

The event successfully facilitated meaningful connections, with attendees gaining actionable insights and opportunities to drive their businesses forward. Highlights included the Innovation Showcase, where regional businesses demonstrated groundbreaking innovations, and the North East Innovation Awards, celebrating excellence in various categories. The 'Innovation of the Year' award, voted by attendees on the day, was awarded to SQCDP for their app aiding manufacturing businesses in going paperless.
