November 12th marked an exciting milestone as UMi welcomed intermediaries to an exclusive launch event for its new Get Funding service.

UMi is thrilled to announce the appointment of Suzanne McCreedy, UMi’s Chief Commercial Officer, as co-chair of B Local North East, the B Corp community group dedicated to connecting and empowering B Corp businesses in the North East.

The recent Asian Business Connexion (ABC) Inclusion by Default Awards, which UMi proudly sponsored, brought together leaders from various sectors to celebrate and promote inclusivity across the North of England. 

Leading figures from the North East finance and funding landscape gathered recently at a roundtable discussion convened by British Business Bank (BBB) to understand the barriers facing businesses.

The sold out Meet the Buyer event, delivered by UMi on behalf of London City Airport, facilitated over 500 appointments between buyers and suppliers, creating valuable connections and boosting local businesses.

The Expo Sunderland Challenge kicked off its much-anticipated launch event on September 11, 2024, at City Hall in Sunderland. For businesses in Sunderland, particularly SMEs, the challenge offers an unprecedented opportunity to step up and make a real impact. 

Wellsprings Together received a grant of £2,000 from UMi Community Fund to support its core costs. This grant was vital in helping the organisation coordinate the emergency food response in Bradford, ensuring that over 2,000 people living in poverty were able to access nutritious food during a time of increasing need.
